The north of New Zealand is subtropical and the south is temperate. Since New Zealand is in the southern hemisphere, our seasons are opposite to the USA. The warmest months are during the summer months of December, January, February and March and the coldest are June, July and August. In summer, the average maximum temperature ranges between 65-90ºF and in winter between 50-60ºF.
